A soldier lives through fear, each and every day
He fights in the name of duty, to protect us and to keep us safe
A soldier is forgotten, when it’s time for war
If we had lost our freedom we would have wished we had done more
Don’t forget our soldiers; they are fighting for our rights
They are fighting for our livelihood, each day and each night
Never hate these soldiers; they are doing what we can’t
To make our lands safer, to keep us away from plight
Don’t forget our soldiers, they are our heroes
They are worth more than we give, and that is zero
Respect our soldiers, they are our men
Think of them out there, for some we may never see again
